Laos and Thailand Mission Trip

I went for a one-week-mission trip with my church. We went to Nongkhai, Thailand and part of Laos. Our aim was to teach the primary, secondary and college students to speak English and Mandarin. Besides that, we also there minister to the local churches.
My church (GA611 Bread Of Life) has opened a daughter church (GC611 Bread Of Life), hence it is also our honour and duty to help them set up the church. The whole mission trip has opened my eyes, I am truly honoured to have joined my church team for this mission trip. Personally, to see the children full of gratitute when we visited their schools, was one of the greatest impacts for me. I learnt from the children, to always count my blessings and to be easily content and joyous with life's simple pleasures.

Cambodia Mission Trip
I went for a two-weeks-mission trip with a medical team that comprises of doctors, nurses, teachers and teenagers from different churches. We went to Phnom Penh, Cambodia and also to the villages in the rural areas. Everyday we would set off from Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, and take a two hour drive to the villages.
Our mission was to provide health care for the villagers and also educate them on personal hygiene. We also helped the local churches to reach out to the community, especially the children ministry. It was truly a different experience; it has opened my eyes, and broadened my way of thinking. I saw from the doctors and nurses who treated the villagers, the true meaning of dedication and selfless love. Although the locals might not understand our language and vise versa, communication is still possible through eye contact and body language. I am grateful for being part of this mission team.
